SIMMOS BEACH

Public BBQ

Simmo's Beach has undergone a remarkable transformation since its appearance in the horror film "KILLING GROUND." The recent makeover has made it even more appealing, with a spectacular playground upgrade and clean BBQ areas. The water is exceptionally clear, and it's a highly recommended destination. This hidden gem offers various walking tracks along the George's River, perfect for taking a refreshing dip. You'll find sandy riverbanks, rock faces, and serene river views. It's a fantastic spot for birdwatching and even spotting native Orchids. While the water may appear murky, it's suitable for swimming, especially for kids with shallow sections. Picnic facilities are well-maintained, and despite occasional litter, Simmo's Beach remains a lovely spot to connect with nature.
